Mark Allen/marjasall has completed the back cover illustration for the Tombs of Hulkursag as well as an overview map and the Title/Credits page illustration. Last week, I posted a portion of the pencil sketch of the back cover:

"Yes, come on - there's riches and glory untold in the Black Ziggurat!" he seems to be saying...
Mark's illustrations continue to amaze and awe me - he really captures the feel I'm going for in my module.

Very nice!
Thank you! :)
Yeah, I like that image, the art definitely has its own style, yet seems entirely suited to the subject matter.
Very nice.
I know the brownish / sepia is all desertly. But, I can't help but imagine that image in non-copy blue like all the modules of my misspent youth.
This image reminds me of the strange and eerie beauty and feel of some images from the AD&D 2nd Edition first core books.
Very nice contrast in this piece. Dare I hope the interior illos feature tones also, even if in grayscale?
JG (Junior Grognard) caught sight of the completed artwork and totally admires it. So it does the job for a 6.5 year old. I'm looking forward to seeing more of this in future.
